Today I wanted to feature a Genre Of Rap that based around Horror, Violence and Murder. The Horrorcore genre was Created for and by lovers of Horror Movies and sick content. Horrorcore is music that lyrically has Horror Stories in them which are expressed musically.

One of my personal favourites are Insane Clown Posse (ICP) (old albums) an American Horrorcore duo from Detroit, Michigan. The group who perform under the respective personas of the “wicked clowns” Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. They performs a style of hardcore hip hop known as horrorcore and is known for its elaborate live performances. The duo has earned two platinum and five gold albums.
Insane Clown Posse’s performance style utilizes shocking (and blatantly over the top) narratives to give an over-exaggerated, almost cartoon-like version of urban deprivation in Detroit. ICP’s lyrics serve as morality tales, with most of their songs focusing on subjects such as cannibalism, murder and necrophilia.
